Making a List And Checking It Twice...

No, I am not late... I am making a list of things I hope I can get done within this year.
2011 was very relaxed, or should I say... lacked focus, I do this and stop to do that... I see this and get that... all messed up and foolish.  immature and lazy.

For 2012 I must...

1. USE MOBILE PHONE - I do not use or check my mobile all the time.  I just pick it up to check an app and to take a pic.  Yeah, I am very bad with replying to SMS and calls.  It is usually dead and is at the bottom or nowhere in my bag.

2. BE ORGANIZED - Yup, this says it all, from my bag to kit to wallet and to cabinets.  A place for everything and everything in its place.  Tidy up at least bi-monthly.

3. EXECUTE AS PLANNED - Paging MR Husband.

4. BLOG OFTEN - Plan to do this, so I can always review goals.  And share.  And be reminded of the things that I should be thankful of.

5. DO SOME ART - Yeah... projects and me. =p

I need to...
  • Continue Ecai on weekends and print 2011 album.
  • Have fun in May.
  • Do some 31 new somethings.

time management, huh

Last week, I had a inkling to document how I spend my 24 hours.  And I was dismayed with the result! On the average weekday I have: 10 hours for work, 2 hours travel, 2 hours for self hygiene and basic necessity like eating, 3 hours with daughter, 6 hours of sleep, 1 hour for hobbies or etc, 0 hours for husband, 0 hours for thinking and planning, 0 hours for house chores, 0 hours for relationship building... and oh my!

So last weekend, I had to try valuing my time and making the most of it.  Woke up early and this is how I had spent 2 weekend days:  5 hours with ecai on a park, taking care of her, playing with her. and 2 hours buying what I need for a hobby, 2 hours personal hygiene and basic necessity, 3 hours ecau time, 4 hours hobby with tv time - that's for saturday.  For Sunday, 1.5 hours prep for mass, 1.5 hours at mass, 3 hours with ecai, 4 hours on work-related task, 1 hour for preparing things, 2 hours traveling, 2 hours preparing to sleep!  Wow, with all those I was able to spend time with ecai, finish work assignments, and have some time to do my cross stiching project!  But the weekend was so tiring!  That I still feel aches!

So in the end, from now on, since I value my self, I need all the rest I can get.  Period.

a different pair of shoes

820 days ago, I posted this.  And somewhere along the road, I am working again, actually already for over a year.  And the walk wasn't easy at all.  Being a mummy and working is an every day challenge, one cannot be with the other! =p  Both need dedication and mastery and are time consuming.  But the priority remains.
  • Ecs is 29 months.
  • Says sweet words.
  • Is funny.
  • Is bright.
  • Likes my things (which is annoying most of the time, but hey, can't tell her no but must tell her what's hers and what's mine, like my journals and books).
After taking her pic, Jut jokingly poked through her eyeglasses so she covered her eyes.  Shocked, she looked at me and asked me, "ay! bakit ganyan?" (Why like this?) - while sticking her eyes with her fingers.  All the while she thought her spectacles have glass. Ha.

and reading again

I didn't really stop reading, always had Harry Potter series, but aside from those, I didn't prioritize reading.  Until I searched for a gift for a friend, thought of giving her a book and decided on My Name Is Memory.  Reading the synopsis made me source for a copy too!  It was a- ok.  You'd be hooked reading it because of the mild suspense and wonder if Daniel will finally be given the chance of being together with Sophia, after all of his hundreds of years of effort.  Just really bad that the ending was so open ended!  It is a must to wait for the second book!

I didn't enjoy Imaginary Girls.  Started reading the book, so might as well finish it.  Probably I didn't find the "captivating sisterly love" plot of the book appealing.  It was well written though.

And oh, I almost forgot about The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.  Enjoyed that book too!  It kept me guessing of what happened and what will happen.  As I moved to the next book in the Millennium Trilogy,  I got bored, that I stopped reading the book half way.  Grew tired of  Lisbeth's  so many issues.

Current read: The Betrayal of Natalie Hargrove.

teaching ol' me new tricks (lots!)

It is difficult, I tell you!

I'm distracted! Really hard to focus.  There are lots of things that catches my attention and making me waste time!  Plus I have chores and duties to fulfill.

But I say, if I don't start now, then when?  If I don't take baby steps, then when can I leap?

on 9.10.11

I decided to re-do my blog.  The old entries between 2007 to 2010, which I can't find the COURAGE of deleting, were moved and linked somewhere.

Starting over is...
  • the beginning of CSI Season 12 on September 21
  • revisiting advance html and css, ha!
  • continuing to cross stitch of autumn, am done with spring and summer
  • planning to do some art
  • checking out typography
  • learning the virtue of patience
A mild compulsion to post on Sept 10, 2011, I have really waited for this day.
